Community Orchard partnership.  Villages of Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves. 40 trees - apples, pears, plums, damsoms & cherries. Planting started 2014. 2015 & 2016 adverts for apple pressing days (including take your own apples to press) Runs with volunteers, open to visit as part of the site, car parking charges.

Historic orchard could date back to 1250, likely to have been mixed fruit - apples, pears, cherries, damsons, medlars, quince, vines, nuts. New orchard started 2005 as partnership betweek Parks Services and Leicester Swadhyay Pariwar. Community planting - cherries, variety of apples, quince, medlars, plum and hazel.

Fruit Routes

Fruit Routes is a unique project and art installation made up of over 150 trees providing an enriched habitat for people, plants, insects and animals, as well as a location for cultural activities and outdoor learning. The project has become a great example of a Living Lab project with partnerships in the Design School, School of the Arts and Architecture Schools.
